Brief Description: This position works collaboratively with providers and other health care staff providing comprehensive patient care by promoting patient health across life cycle.
Qualifications: Bachelors of Nursing or Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing or college. Current RI RN License with 2-5 years nursing/clinical experience in hospital, public health or community health. Candidate will cross-train in Pediatric, OBGYN & Internal Medicine clinics.

Position Summary:Assists in administration of health information consistent with regulatory standards and requirements of health care system. Provides technical guidance to Health Information Assistants and Health Information Specialists.
Modifies Health Information Assistants’ work schedules in responding to daily call-outs or absences during the day andre-assigns staff based on statistics (work load) and staffing levels.
Assists with implementation of organizational/departmental policies and procedures, including processing all requests, consistent with federal, state and local statutes. Coordinates medical record audit requests and peer reviews. Provides training for health information assistants and completes competency assessments.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Health Information, RHIT certification with a minimum of 2 years Health Information experience required.
