Dr. Rama Nagireddi received her medical degree from Deccan College of Medical Sciences, India and completed her Internal Medicine residency at St. Joseph Mercy in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. In addition, Dr. Nagireddi completed a fellowship in Endocrinology at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska and has special interest in chronic disease management and health equity. She moved to Rhode Island and joined PCHC in 2020. Dr. Nagireddi speaks English, Hindi and Telugu. In her free time, she enjoys exploring local restaurants and farmer’s markets, cooking, hiking, reading and yoga.

Dr. Thomas received his Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery from Trichur Medical College, Calicut University in India and a Masters Degree in Clinical Pharmacology from Pondicherry University in India. He previously worked as an internist and taught medical school students in India. Dr.Thomas isamember of AmericanCollege of Physicians, and Infectious Disease Society of America. He joined PCHC in 2014. In his free time, Dr. Thomas enjoys travelling, watching movies, reading and creative writing.

Dr. Ambreen Allana is a graduate of Dow Medical College in Pakistan. Dr. Allana completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Michigan and then went on to pursue a fellowship in Infectious Diseases from the University of Texas Health Science Center/MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is a member of several professional societies including the Infectious Diseases Society of America, American College of Physicians, and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. She is fluent in English, Urdu, and Hindi. In her free time, Dr. Allana loves to read and hike on trails found at state parks with her husband and daughter.

Diane Sette received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northeastern University; her Master of Science, Family Nurse Practitioner from The College of New Rochelle, NY; and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from MGH Institute of Health Professions, in Boston. Diane is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners, The Obesity Society, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Diane’s approach to patient care is both holistic and traditional. Her practice includes: caring for people who struggle with obesity, adult medicine, women’s health, and management of chronic disease. Diane is a faculty member at Simmons University. Prior to joining PCHC in 2019, Diane managed an adult obesity care program, and worked in a primary care practice in New Hampshire. In her free time, Diane enjoys cycling, Cape Cod, and spending time with her family.

Janet Encarnacion provides internal medicine services to patients at our North Main Street Health Center. She most recently worked at several American Family Care urgent care clinics in Massachusetts. She completed the Cox Family Medicine Residency program in 2001, after receiving her medical degree from University of North Carolina School of Medicine.
Dr. Encarnacion previously worked at Signature Healthcare in Brockton, Mass., and Jordan Valley Community Health Center and Cox Health, both in Springfield, Missouri. During her career, she has provided outpatient and inpatient primary care, as well as urgent care, for adults and children.

Dr. Ekknoor Sahota received her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Dayanand Medical College and Hospital in India, and completed her residency in Internal Medicine with Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Sahota completed a fellowship in Patient Safety and Quality Improvement in Pittsburgh. Dr. Sahota was raised in India, moved to Canada and then to Pennsylvania.
Looking to make Rhode Island her home, Dr. Sahota joined PCHC in 2019. Working in a patient-centered community health clinic focused on quality care and patient safety is very important to Dr. Sahota. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi. In her free time, Dr. Sahota enjoys biking, hiking and other outdoor activities.

Dr. Magdi Salmon received his BS in Biology from Cairo University in Cairo, Eygpt, and his MD and Masters in Internal Medicine from Cairo University School of Medicine. Dr. Salmon completed an internship at Cairo University Hospital and residencies at both Al Gomhoreya Hospital in Cairo and St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, PA. He came to Rhode Island for a fellowship in Endocrinology with Brown University at Rhode Island Hospital. As a primary care physician in Rhode Island, Dr. Salmon has worked with St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hope Medical Group and Well North Medical Group. Dr. Salmon has a love of music and his favourite hobbies include listening to music and spiritual writing.

Kate Hofstetter received her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Rhode Island College, and her Masters of Science in Nursing, Adult Nurse Practitioner and Women’s Health Practitioner, from Yale University School of Nursing. Prior to joining PCHC in 2018, Kate practiced with the Veterans Health Administration in Connecticut, Texas and South Carolina. Returning home to Rhode Island, she worked with Blackstone Community Health Center. Before her commitment to nursing and healthcare, Kate worked in the music television and production business. When not working, Kate enjoys practicing yoga and spending time with her rescue Chihuahuas.

When not working, Mark enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports, the great outdoors, and playing guitar.

Dr. Tariq Malik received his medical degree from King Edward Medical College in Pakistan. He completed his residency at the Mayo Hospital and post-graduate training at the London University and National Health Service Hospitals in England. Dr. Malik completed fellowships at University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Hartford Hospital and St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. He studied at Harvard School of Public Health earning his Master in Public Health and was Visiting Scholar at Harvard University. Dr. Malik has held academic appointments at University of Connecticut, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York and Brown University, where he still teaches and mentors medical students. Dr. Malik joined PCHC in 2012 and sees patients at PCHC North Main. He enjoys meeting and listening to interesting people who provoke original thought.

Jennifer Belfry received her Bachelor of Arts in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies from Dartmouth College, and both her RN and MS, Family Nurse Practitioner from Columbia University in New York. Prior to joining PCHC, Jenny worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner for community based clinics in New York City, South Bronx and Harlem. She has specialty care experience with HIV/AIDS management and Hepatitis C treatment. Jenny also worked for a sports injury practice focusing on patient mobility and function without opioids. When she’s not working, Jenny enjoys running, hiking and cooking.
