Dr. Beth Toolan received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and her Medical Degree from Brown University. She completed her internal medicine and pediatric residency at Rhode Island Hospital. Dr. Toolan joined PCHC in 1999 and is dedicated to serving PCHC’s diverse population as well as promoting literacy and school readiness to her pediatric patients. Dr. Toolan speaks Spanish. As a former restaurant owner and wife of a chef, Beth enjoys fine dining. She also enjoys spending time with her two teenage children, reading and jogging (when she finds time!).

Roxana Rodriguez earned her Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences from Arizona State University; her Masters in Health Promotion from the University of Nevada; and her doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from AT Still University. She completed an internship and her Internal Medicine – Pediatrics residency with University Southern California Medical Center in Los Angeles County. Dr. Rodriguez’ experience includes treating children with special needs including metabolic disease, cerebral palsy and Down syndrome. Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Rodriguez worked as a Health Educator and in Community Outreach. Dr. Rodriguez grew up in Sonora, Mexico and now she calls Rhode Island her home along with her husband and daughter.

Dr. Claudia Clarke earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biopsychology and Biomedical Engineering Systems from Tufts University and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing her Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency training at the State University of New York - University at Buffalo, Dr. Clarke cared for patients at an inner-city community health center near Boston, MA. She joined PCHC in 2019. Dr. Clarke is committed to caring for both children and adults. Dr. Clarke’s clinical interests include Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) and caring for adult survivors of childhood diseases. She is first-generation Jamaican-American and is bilingual, English and Spanish. In her free time, Dr. Clarke enjoys bird-watching, kayaking and snowshoeing.

Meghan Moore received her BA in Pre-Medical and Holistic Health studies from Hampshire College, and her MS in Nursing from Boston College. She has been a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner since 2005 working at private pediatric practices and health centers in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Meghan joined PCHC in 2016. She has dedicated her career to working with families in underserved communities and approaching health from a holistic perspective. When not working, Meghan loves spending time with her family, especially her two sons.

Dr. Erin Rawson received her BS degrees in Biology and English from University of Massachusetts, and received both her MD and her Masters in Public Health for Maternal and Child Health from Loma Linda University School of Public Health in California. Dr. Rawson completed her pediatric residency at Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children in Fairfax, VA and then practiced in Huntington Beach, California. Board certified in Pediatrics, Dr. Rawson joined PCHC in 2017. As a volunteer, Dr. Rawson has cared for patients in Guam, Honduras, Malawi and Ethiopia. She loves going on mission trips and traveling internationally. Dr. Rawson also enjoys time with her husband, swimming, going to the beach, reading and watching movies.

Kristin Malone received her Bachelor degree in Human Development and Child Life from Wheelock College, and both her Bachelor and Master degrees in Nursing from Regis College. Kristin completed her preceptorship with PCHC and then joined PCHC in 2016. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Kristin was a Child-Life Specialist at The Floating Hospital for Children in Boston and an Emergency Medical Technician. When not working, Kristin enjoys the outdoors–hiking, camping and walking her puggle, Sammy.

Dr. Joe Singer earned his Bachelor degree in Chemistry from Brandeis University; Doctor of Medicine from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey; and completed his Pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Prior to joining PCHC in 2019, Dr. Singer’s pediatric practice was in East Providence for more than twenty years. Dr. Singer is also an associate physician with the Tavares Pediatric and Education Center in Providence, and he was a clinical faculty member with Brown University Warren Alpert Medical School for several years. While he grew up in New Jersey, and spent some years in California, Dr. Singer, along with his wife and son, have called Rhode Island their home since 1996. In his free time, Dr. Singer enjoys woodworking, music, and other creative activities.

Dr. Rebecca Friedman is a board-certified pediatrician and a member of the American Association of Pediatrics. Dr. Friedman received her BA in Religious Studies from Yale University, and her MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. She completed her pediatric residency at Columbia Presbyterian’s Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York and later completed a fellowship in pediatric urgent care in Yonkers, New York. Dr. Friedman worked for general and urgent care practices in New York, and also spent time working with Indian Health Services in Arizona before returning home to Rhode Island and joining PCHC in 2017. When Dr. Friedman is not working, she enjoys reading various genres and walking.

Dr. Bencosme completed her Pediatric residency with Brown University at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence. Dr. Bencosme worked as a Pediatrician and Assistant Medical Director of Children’s Aid in New York implementing programs and trainings in foster care health. She returned to Providence in 2019 to join PCHC. In her free time, Dr. Bencosme enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time with her husband, son and daughter. Dr. Bencosme is bilingual in English and Spanish.

When not working, she enjoys hiking in the woods and cooking.
